Benefits rules are statewide. Offices aren't.
Florida's DCF service centers are organized by county groupings, not a single statewide office — Leon and Wakulla counties share one center, while Gadsden, Calhoun, Jackson, and Liberty counties share another in Quincy. Housing assistance is even more local: each county has its own Public Housing Authority with its own waiting list, sometimes open and sometimes closed for years. That's why we built a page for every county, with the contact details that actually apply where you live.
How applying works, statewide
- Find your county page — see your local DCF service center, housing authority, and any county-specific notes.
- Check eligibility for each program — income limits differ between SNAP, Medicaid, housing, and cash assistance.
- Apply through ACCESS Florida — the state's official portal handles SNAP, Medicaid, and cash assistance applications online, by mail, or in person.
- Apply separately for housing — Section 8 and public housing go through your local Public Housing Authority, not ACCESS Florida.
